All interactions should be guided by the Mayday Movement USA's core goal: the impeachment, conviction, and removal of President Donald J. Trump.
Most Importantly Respect: Respect all peoples regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, voting habits, or any other reason.
Do Not Disturb: The Capitol building is not a place for disruption. Although showy protest activities may be necessary to get national attention, the Capitol building is off limits. We do not want any comparison to January 6.
Listen to Hill Guide Instructions: They have trained to do this in the most effective way possible.
Promote Active Participation Encourage engagement in the Mayday Movement's initiatives,
particularly the Mayday Impeachment Action Center near the U.S. Capitol.
No Name Calling: When using your Mayday training and resources to conduct education and
outreach online or in person, do not do so in a mocking fashion. The most persuasive arguments take
the opposition head on, tackling the best possible justification for their position, and still defeating it.
Be Careful With Truth: Do your best to only share factual information. If something seems off, check it! There is plenty of confusion around the important topic we are addressing. Do not be part of the problem.
Maintain Focus on the Movement's Purpose: Remind individuals that the work of the Mayday Momvement Impeachment Center is specifically to achieve the impeachment and subsequent conviction of the former President.
Be Strategic in Outreach: When engaging in "Art Response" or other outreach efforts, consider how to break through the noise and reach a wider audience, including those who may not already agree with the movement's goals.
If You See Violence: Remember your de-escalation training. Do NOT engage. If you see anyone being violent, whether friend or foe, sit down and start filming. Do not try to intervene.
Do Not Let Other Issues Divide: There are many reasons people want to see Trump removed. Mayday Movement has not chosen any particular reasons to champion and this is an active choice! Whatever people's reasons, they are welcome at Mayday.
Non-Violence: Non-Violence is a core tenent for Mayday we agree with Dr. King, “In spite of temporary victories, violence never brings permanent peace.” This also includes any actions words that could reasonably be interpreted as threatening violence, such as chasing, or near-contact.
Obey Lawful Orders: We believe that the Constitution is the guiding principle of these United States and that we as well as President Trump are subject to its rules.
Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, and explosives.
Alcohol
Illegal drugs and substances.
Items that can be used to cause damage to property or harm to others, such as bats, clubs, and chains.
Any other items deemed unsafe or inappropriate by law enforcement or protestorganizers.
